Me and my husband share a unique bond of love, care, and compassion. We love to spend quality time together, laughing and gossiping.
We don’t have kids, and I left my job before our marriage and didn’t return to work. That’s why he’s become used to having all of my attention.
Recently, I joined medium out of boredom and now Medium has become my go-to app for learning, exploring new ideas, and finding inspiration. There’s a thrill in discovering articles on just about every topic under the sun, from self-help and productivity hacks to fascinating stories and life lessons. In the beginning, it felt like harmless fun – just a few minutes here and there between tasks, before bed, or in the morning over coffee.
However, those “few minutes” quickly turned into hours, and before I knew it, I was reaching for my phone every chance I got.
At first, I didn’t notice that my Medium habit was bothering my husband. But, over time I sensed he’s looking a little less enthusiastic during our conversations and sometimes seemed annoyed when I wasn’t fully present.
One evening, it all came out: “You’re always on Medium these days. I feel like I’m not even here when we’re together.”
