We exaggerate our needs

Yes, we do

We exaggerate our needs. As a human, I have very minimal needs to survive. Maximum two times meal. Even if you cover the entire table with all the world’s best food; you have to take food at some maximum levels. For example, after eating two pieces of bread and 4–5 pieces of meat, our stamina is filled with food.

We need a maximum of 10–15 dresses for survival. Likewise, a room, a bike/car, a boy or a girl as a friend. It was humor we can live without girlfriends and boyfriends.

Consumerism has led us to blindly believing that only latest version of Iphone will satisfy our soul. We are willing to stand in a long queue and wait for hours to get a mobile phone on its launch date.

We often feel pressured by family, friends, or society to keep up, whether it's with material possession or personal achievements. Anywhere we look, advertisements tell us we’re missing out or that we’ll be happier with more.

Anyhow, human basic needs are minimal. We exaggerate our expectations. Why? Because it is part of our historical context. We in history interacted with a few things. I am talking about a million years ago. Then, we craved more and more because our formative psychology was deprived of abundance, and humans were fearful. Therefore, they collect things. It is a historical fear.

However, we can survive with few things, one boyfriend or one girlfriend (lol). Have you ever wondered why have males attracted to many women throughout history? Why are women attracted to more males in contemporary society?

Can you tell me why?
